Poetry is not what you read

I walk into my room and my room mate looks up from the poem she is reading,
"Okay just to be clear this poem is about a girl who is super cold and wants to die, right?"
....there is a pause and then I burst out laughing. She starts laughing too.
"I'm totally wrong aren't I?"
"ITS ABOUT A WASP!"
I finally manage to get out through my laughter.
"What?", She looks down, "That totally makes more sense!"

I walk back in a couple minutes later and she pulls out her head phones and said,
"This is so much easier knowing this is about a bug!"
I just laugh because really, it is!

Amazing Beauty

We were driving through town and I was listening to my iPod and Amazing by Kayne West came on. Something about that song completely changes how you see everything. The city of St. Louis, Senegal is nothing great. But when you look out the window and this song is playing it adds a certain air to the way the people move, the building stand and even the goats eating trash have a majestic amazing air. The song lent a purpose and peculiar fearing to the people of Senegal. The way they moved was transformed simply by the tune of the song. The car bumped along the road to the beat of the drums. The buildings were beat down and plain but they were suddenly filled with a new line of beauty, beauty in that they were sting and still standing and aged. The music you play can change your whole out look on life, if you just let it carry you away. Now everytime I drive through the town I turn on Amazing, and just watch how it changes everything I see. It is beautiful.

The surprises of Life

I'm giving relationship advice to my best friend's ex-boyfriend. I really never though it would come to this in my life. At least not so soon.

Can't hear you at all as I shut this door

I'm standing in the door way as I try to take a picture of the rain, I turn around to find three of the plumber guys standing in the stares staring at me in their slouched positions. One speaks and points to his ear, I can't hear a thing with the rain and my music playing.
"Quoi?"
I ask as I shut the door to the living room with me in it. I'm not even pretending to be listening. They had a margin of .01 seconds to get their words across. I gave then that at least.

Gum in my nose

Austin stuck gum up his nose to counter the smell of sewage. It looks like he has buggers coming from his nose. That's my brother over there, yes, with the gum that looks like buggers sticking out of his nose. Hopefully he can get the gum out, it's not like we can go to the emergency room though that would be a laugh.
"So what is the emergency here?"
"My brother has gum stuck up his nose."
"What? Gum? Why is gum stuck up his nose?"
"He was using the mint smell of it to counter the sewage scent."
"The mint has to burn."
"Probably."
"Gum in his nose? On purpose."
"That's my brother."
"I'll call the doctor."
Picks up phone.
"Paging doctor Patrick to room five. A kid has gum stuck up his nose."
Doctor:
"Not again. I'll be right there."
